The World Has Gone Mad, Again
Shades of Hitler, the death camps, the whole European scene of WWII…ugh. Ran across an article this afternoon about a “rally” in Ft. Lauderdale, FLA to protest Israel’s defense of itself against Hamas’ rocket bombardment. This was not some civilized rally, oh no. It was a Nazi-type, disgusting, unimaginable re-creation of a time most of us thought would never repeat itself. People were completely crazed, screaming for death to all Jews, spewing invectives. There were almost all ethnic groups represented at this disgrace.
Is it possible these Neanderthals have forgotten the past? Or did their school history lessons not cover WWII? Or is it just that self-protection is no longer politically correct?
Israel made a wasteland fertile, made a desert bloom. In all the years since the Jewish people were driven from their homeland, that homeland had deteriorated to the point that those who lived there–the Palestinians–could barely eke out a living. Once Israel was reborn, did those Palestinians change their ways and improve the portion that was left to them? They did not. Instead, they wasted their potential, using their energy to try and wipe Israel from the face of the earth.
Foolishly, our all wise government gave Palestine billions of dollars over the many years since 1948. This, thought we in our naivete, they would use to build up their land, improve their schools, improve their peoples’ lives. Did they do this? Very little went to those entities. Most of it went to arm themselves, to promote hatred and eventually war.
All of this is well known to anyone who reads. Guess I’m trying to make some sense out of it all by blogging. Good luck to me, huh?
