Our Country is on Folly’s Path
4 more years of Obama? We’ll be driving this–or living in it.

In the 16th century, a Dutch humorist named Erasmus wrote the satire Praise of Folly on civility and politics. Folly is the main character in the handbook. He exposed Folly of Human vice and arrogance by the use of irony, sarcasm and ridicule.
Folly says her appearance makes her welcome, and it is proper for Folly to praise herself because she knows herself best. Her speech is unprepared but genuine, and she is recognized in people even when they try to hide her.
Folly is the relative of youth, ignorance and arrogance. To Folly there are many kinds of human madness–some harmless and pleasurable. However, all humans are by nature fools and followers of Folly. The world’s tragic comedy requires all to play their part.
President Obama’s and the fawning liberal press and media’s behavior and actions are at the level of madness which is not pleasurable and harmless. Neither knows the final destination of the course they are setting for the country and the ship of fools called the Democratic Party. Are you on board?
Folly exposed herself recently in Democratic House Speaker Pelosi’s statement to the country on “Obama Care” when she proclaimed: “We have to pass it to know what’s in it.”
Wow! Really? I rest my case for Folly.

I would like to add these thoughts: I believe that those now in charge of the debacle called the United States government know exactly where they are headed, and it has been their intention all along to head our once-republic toward their goal: Socialism/Communism. “Tear down the present system (Capitalism) and rebuild it in our image.”
Yes, we are in the midst of folly. Dare we hope that we have a knight with an armored “mitt” strong enough to tear down this web of lies and deceit? Yes, we have real hope for change–back to our constitutional government.
Politics, of course!
